Agency: Targetbase Job Function: Finance Job Subfunction: Financial Planning and Analysis Job Description: JOB SCOPE & PURPOSE The Client Finance Analyst supports the Senior Director, Finance and Client Engagement teammates in business financial reporting, analysis, and financial management across multiple accounts and client workstreams.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Collaborate closely with account leaders team to effectively manage client financials Proactively consult account lead & team on current and trending business performance and client financials, and make recommendations for growth, portfolio health and overall fiscal performance to drive results and align with company goals Manage client billing process and reporting Review and approve client contracts and Statement of Work (SOW) pricing Work strategically with account leads to ensure healthy client financials, portfolio performance, expense-planning, KPI performance, and company & corporate governance adherence Partner with Account & Project Management teams in revenue projection assembly and revisions Assist in month-end and year-end close processes, including reconciliations and journal entries Execute Accounts Payable function, including invoice coding and vendor disbursements Prepare and analyze financial reports such as general ledger actuals, Statement of Work (SOW) tracking, and client reconciliations ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting principles Partner closely with Account leaders to ensure healthy cash flow management Assist in setting & driving performance goals for assigned client accounts/book of business Assist with internal and external audits Ad-hoc reporting & analysis for the Finance or Account team, as needed EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE 2-4 years (internships count!) of professional work experience including --Experience in professional services firms and/or ‘billable hours’ environment is highly preferred --Hands on experience with Microsoft Business Dynamics AX, D365, BM Planning Analytics experience required Bachelor’s degree Finance or Accounting required Experience with process and financial system improvement is preferred Cognos and/or HFM experience nice to have KNOWLEDGE & ABILITY Microsoft Office expertise (with heavy emphasis on Excel) Effective communicator, capable of working with agency executives and demonstrated ability to translate financials clearly to all audiences Proactive, organized, detail-oriented, with a strong work ethic Able to multitask, prioritize work, and meet multiple deadlines Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills POSITION REQUIREMENTS Overtime as necessary Hybrid work schedule - 3 days in our office and 2 days working from home.
