The opportunity We are currently looking to source suitable CVs for an IFRS Support / Technical Accounting role to support our growing advisory requirements. The role will primarily focus on new accounting standards implementation, technical accounting advisory, transaction accounting support, and IFRS-related training delivery. Key Responsibilities
Accounting Standards Implementation
Practical application of IFRS including IFRS 9, IFRS 15, IFRS 16, IFRS 10, IFRS 3, IFRS 13, IFRS 11, IFRS 5, IAS 36, IAS 16, IAS 38, IAS 28 etc. as applicable
Technical Accounting Support
Preparation of IFRS technical accounting memos and position papers Accounting policy development, updates, and documentation Support on complex accounting judgments, estimates, and interpretations
Transaction Accounting Support
Business combinations (purchase price allocation, goodwill calculation, NCI accounting) Accounting for acquisitions, disposals, step acquisitions, and group restructurings Carve-out and closing balance sheet support Accounting impact assessment of financing arrangements and capital restructurings
IFRS Training & Knowledge Support
Development and delivery of IFRS training sessions (internal / client-facing) Preparation of training materials, presentations, and practical case studies Ongoing IFRS knowledge support to engagement teams
Professional Qualification
CA / ACA / ACCA (mandatory) Strong IFRS technical grounding
4–8 years of relevant experience in
Big-4 / reputable accounting or advisory firms, or IFRS-focused roles within large corporates
Hands-on experience in IFRS advisory, technical accounting, or complex accounting engagements
Technical Competencies
Strong understanding and practical application of IFRS standards Ability to interpret accounting standards and apply them to real-world scenarios Experience of preparing technical accounting memos and advisory deliverables
Analytical & Communication Skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to clearly articulate accounting conclusions to stakeholders Experience working directly with finance teams, auditors, and senior management
Preferred Attributes
Experience in multiple sectors (e.g., real estate, utilities, financial services, energy) Training facilitation or knowledge-sharing experience is a plus
