Colliers Engineering & Design is seeking Water/Wastewater Engineering Interns to join our Holmdel, NJ office for Summer 2027! Responsibilities
Our interns will assist technical staff on day-to-day projects. Read and review project drawings and plans. Enhance your technical skills with hands-on experience using AutoCAD to design: Water and Wastewater Treatment Facilities Pump Systems Pipelines Observe project sites and evaluate contractors’ work to detect problems with a design. Perform hydraulic modelling, prepare design specifications and design calculations, and produce technical reports. Support environmental permitting applications and coordination with regulatory agencies. In addition to the work-centered program, we also offer robust internship programming, which includes opportunities to work with other interns, learn about other areas of the business, and develop valuable communication skills and networking connections.
Qualifications
Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering or a related program. Previous coursework and interest in potable water and wastewater design work is preferred. Basic understanding of AutoCAD preferred. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Possess solid problem-solving skills. Must have reliable transportation to the office. Ability to read, write, and understand English for purposes of comprehending written job-related communications and verbal instructions and interactions.
