The following position is to join our Enterprise Services team: The Fixed Asset Accounting team is searching for a Sr. Accountant to join the Enterprise Services (ES) Controllership Department. The position will be responsible for fixed asset support including fixed and intangible asset processing that includes capitalizations, transfers, and retirements. Additional accounting responsibilities will include journal entry preparation, monitoring assets under construction, account reconciliations, financial reporting, and audit support. This role requires strong analytical skills, the ability to work with detailed data, complex problem-solving skills, creativity, and effective time and resource management skills.
What You Will Do
Supporting the reconciliation activities and close processes of the ES Fixed Asset Accounting team. General Ledger accounting entries. Balance Sheet Reconciliations. Data analysis and related corrective action associated with the accounting activities above. PwC, DCAA, and Internal Audit Support. Additional tasks include financial reporting, process improvements and ad hoc projects providing exposure to Corporate Accounting, Business Accounting, SAP Competency Center, etc. Exposure to and possible involvement in supporting multiple areas of ES including Accounts Payable, Travel & Expense, Payroll, Timekeeping, Sales, Use, & Property Tax, Global Disbursements, Contracts to Cash, etc.
Qualifications
You Must Have A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field and 2+ years of experience, OR An Advanced Degree in a related field. Experience with general accounting processes such as reconciliation and closing activities and process (General Ledger accounting entries, Balance Sheet Reconciliations, and audit support.) Experience with SAP/S4Hana or other major ERP system for transaction processing, fixed asset accounting, asset configuration, and report generation. 2+ years of experience with Fixed Asset Accounting.
Qualifications
We Prefer Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), with advanced experience in Excel macros and Power BI. Strong communication, presentation skills, and attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in reporting and process improvement. Critical thinker with problem-solving skills, task flexibility, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Confident decision-maker with the ability to prioritize critical tasks, manage multiple commitments, and demonstrate a strong sense of urgency. Experienced with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
