About this role
Join Axon and be a Force for Good.
At Axon, we’re on a mission to Protect Life. We’re explorers, pursuing society’s most critical safety and justice issues with our ecosystem of devices and cloud software. Like our products, we work better together. We connect with candor and care, seeking out diverse perspectives from our customers, communities and each other.
Life at Axon is fast-paced, challenging and meaningful. Here, you’ll take ownership and drive real change. Constantly grow as you work hard for a mission that matters at a company where you matter.
Our Team
Join us in the VR Cloud Services (VRCS) Engineering team, where we support one of Axon's most exciting new product areas! VRCS has grown rapidly as our services, scope, and customer base have expanded to cover device and application telemetry, training data upload and visualization, Axon Academy, multiplayer VR, and federally compliant security practices. We're building the future of non-lethal technology training, and we'd love to have your help.
Your Impact
As a Backend Software Engineer on the VRCS team, you will design, build, and maintain the cloud services and infrastructure that power virtual reality-based training for first responders. Your work will directly impact officer readiness and community outcomes through scalable, reliable backend systems that support immersive simulation at scale.
You will contribute to backend services across the development lifecycle, from implementation and testing through deployment and production support. You’ll work closely with a collaborative, cross-functional team and learn from experienced engineers as you help improve systems that are critical to our mission.
What You'll Do
