We are seeking technical leaders to build and a grow a team of engineers. The successful candidate will have technical leadership experience, and track-record to deliver results. You have a software engineering background, with a working knowledge of large-scale systems. You engage with customers to understand their needs, show judgement in establishing priorities, and can successfully manage implementation in an fast changing environment. We work closely together on small teams to solve big problems. Key job responsibilities Write clean, testable, and well-documented code while following software engineering best practices. Identify and resolve ambiguity in technical spaces with high problem complexity. Translate product and technical requirements into scalable solutions. Participate in the full software development lifecycle - design, implementation, testing, deployment, and operational support. Work closely with teams across EC2 and AWS (Placement, MIST, Paperwork, EC2 Capacity Blocks, EC2 UltraServers, EC2 Console) to build scalable, flexible interfaces enabling fast-paced delivery of customer facing features. Troubleshoot and resolve software defects, participate in code reviews to maintain high code quality across the team. Contribute to on-call rotations and operational excellence. Engage regularly with cross-functional stakeholders (Product Managers, Application Security Engineers) and drive two-way dialogue to identify product requirements and build robust, secure features About the team On-Demand Capacity Reservations enables customers to reserve capacity for your Amazon EC2 instances in a specific Availability Zone for any duration. Our team owns the front-end service layer for EC2 Capacity Reservations — the APIs that enable customers to reserve capacity and manage the full lifecycle of their reservations.
