More about the role J Role Title: Finance Digital Domain Lead Department: Digital Reports To: Global Head of Application Services Team Size: ~25–30 FTE Direct Reports: Portfolio Managers, Application Architects, Project/Program Managers, Delivery Leads Dotted Line: Application Maintenance & Operational Support Teams Role Purpose The Head of Finance IT is responsible for leading the technology strategy, architecture, and delivery for the Finance application domain, with primary focus on AI use cases and SAP Finance and related financial systems. The role acts as the strategic IT partner to the Finance organization, ensuring that technology solutions support financial operations, regulatory compliance, and the company’s broader digital transformation ambitions. A key responsibility is to lead the Finance IT stream within the company’s SAP S/4HANA transformation program, ensuring successful implementation and long-term sustainability of the future Finance technology landscape. The role ensures strong alignment between business strategy, enterprise architecture, project delivery, and operational services, enabling Finance to operate efficiently and innovate through technology.
Key Responsibilities
Finance IT Strategy Define and maintain the Finance IT strategy and technology roadmap aligned with business and enterprise IT strategy. Drive modernization and continuous improvement of SAP Finance and related financial applications. Drive AI use cases in the Finance area S/4HANA Transformation Leadership Lead the Finance domain within the SAP S/4HANA transformation program. Ensure alignment between Finance business transformation goals and the S/4HANA solution architecture and implementation. Coordinate Finance-related activities across architecture, delivery, data migration, testing, and deployment. Portfolio & Delivery Governance Own and manage the Finance IT project and program portfolio. Ensure delivery of strategic initiatives, regulatory projects, and operational improvements. Architecture & Technology Governance Ensure Finance solutions align with enterprise architecture standards and integration principles. Drive application lifecycle management, system simplification, and technology modernization. Operational Excellence Ensure strong alignment with application maintenance and operational support teams. Maintain stable, secure, and reliable financial application services. Stakeholder Partnership Act as the primary IT partner for Finance leadership and key stakeholders. Translate business priorities into technology capabilities and delivery initiatives. Leadership & Organizational Development Lead and develop a high-performing team of approximately 25–30 professionals across portfolio management, architecture, and delivery. Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability. Key Qualifications 12+ years of experience in enterprise IT environments, preferably within large organizations. Strong expertise in SAP Finance (FI/CO) and financial application landscapes. Proven experience leading ERP or SAP S/4HANA transformation programs. Experience managing large IT teams and complex application portfolios. Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and strategic planning capabilities. Job
