Job Summary
Join KBR’s elite team of maintenance professionals at Morón Air Base as a War Reserve Equipment - Aerospace Ground Support Equipment (WRM - AGE) Mechanic. In this role, you will be integral to the success of our War Reserve Materiel (WRM) and flight line operations, directly contributing to the mission readiness of the U.S. Air Force (USAF) by ensuring that all ground support equipment is expertly maintained and fully operational. You will gain hands-on experience performing crucial inspections, maintenance, and repairs on a diverse range of complex ground support equipment. Roles and Responsibilities Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on Aerospace Ground Equipment (AGE) and Ground Support Equipment (GSE), to include Munitions Material Handling Equipment (MMHE) trailers. Operate and drive pick-up and delivery vehicles to safely transport, deliver, and recover equipment and materials across the base as a routine part of daily maintenance duties. Assist senior technicians with the inspection, testing, and operation of AGE/GSE to determine equipment serviceability and troubleshoot complex issues. Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems on various types of support equipment under the guidance of senior personnel. Use and maintain records in maintenance database systems such as the Enterprise Logistics Management System (ELMS) and the Integrated Maintenance Data System (IMDS). Ensure all maintenance activities comply with technical manuals, manufacturer specifications, and safety standards. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to all company and government regulations. Physical requirements include lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 23 kg. unassisted on a regular basis, and stand, bend, or kneel for extended periods in an active flightline/industrial environment.
Basic Qualifications
High School Diploma, vocational training certificate (Grado Medio/Superior in a technical field), or equivalent. Minimum of three (3) years of hands-on experience as a mechanic for heavy diesel engines, agricultural/construction equipment, GSE, or in a related automotive/mechanical field. Language Proficiency: Must be able to speak, read, and write English at an intermediate level (CEFR B1 or equivalent). Demonstrated experience diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems. Must possess a valid driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications
Formal vocational training (e.g., Formación Profesional) or certifications in diesel engine repair, advanced electrical systems, or Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC)/refrigeration. Experience working with high-pressure hydraulic systems and pneumatic/air systems, to include high-pressure nitrogen equipment. Experience working in an aviation, airport, or military environment.
