Location Micron Singapore, Fab 10 (1 North Coast Drive, Singapore 757432) Department Environmental, Health and Safety Project Title Environmental, Health and Safety Digitalisation and Automation Project Description The Environmental, Health and Safety Intern will contribute to projects that enhance workplace safety, environmental compliance, risk management, and continuous improvement. The intern will gain practical experience in semiconductor manufacturing Environmental, Health and Safety programmes while developing digital and automation solutions that improve compliance tracking, reporting efficiency, and employee safety awareness. Objective of the Project Improve Environmental, Health and Safety compliance, risk management, and sustainability through data analysis, safety initiatives, digitalisation, and continuous improvement projects, while gaining hands-on industry experience. Opportunities for Full Time Employment High-performing interns may be considered for future internship or full-time employment opportunities, subject to business needs and hiring requirements. Project Scope Develop digital and automation solutions that enhance Environmental, Health and Safety data management and reporting efficiency. Create dashboards and analytical tools for compliance tracking, risk monitoring, and decision-making. Explore the use of Artificial Intelligence and AI-Enabled workflows to improve data insights and process efficiency. Contribute to a selected workplace safety, environmental compliance, or risk-management improvement project. Learning Opportunities Gain exposure to semiconductor manufacturing Environmental, Health and Safety programmes. Develop hands-on experience with risk-assessment methodologies and workplace safety initiatives. Learn about ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems and ISO 45001 Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems. Develop data analytics, problem-solving, project-management, and technical communication skills. Understand how digital and AI-Enabled solutions can improve Environmental, Health and Safety compliance and risk management. Deliverables Completion of an assigned Environmental, Health and Safety improvement project. Development of a dashboard, automation workflow, or AI-Enabled solution. Project recommendations and an implementation plan. Final presentation summarising findings, actions taken, learning outcomes, and potential business impact. Impact of the Project The project will contribute to improved Environmental, Health and Safety compliance, increased safety and environmental awareness, enhanced risk-management practices, and Micron’s continuous improvement culture. Skillsets Required Strong interest in workplace safety, environmental compliance, risk management, and operational excellence. Familiarity with Artificial Intelligence tools, machine learning concepts, data analytics, or automation technologies. Ability to leverage AI-Enabled tools to improve productivity, data insights, and process efficiency. Good analytical, communication, problem-solving, and project-management skills. Interest in applying digital solutions to Environmental, Health and Safety challenges. Course of Interest The ideal candidate should be pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, Automation Engineering, Robotics, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Workplace Safety and Health, or a related discipline.
