In this role as a 2nd Shift Manufacturing Supervisor at Medtronic’s Energy & Component Center (MECC), you will lead a high-performing production team responsible for delivering safe, high-quality medical device components that support life-saving therapies worldwide. MECC serves as a critical manufacturing hub, producing advanced energy-based technologies and precision components that power Medtronic’s global portfolio. As a frontline leader, you will drive operational excellence across safety, quality, delivery, and cost while fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and employee engagement on the evening shift. Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned. Responsible for the development and implementation of activities in production area(s) to meet production goals, quality, and cost objectives . Prioritizes production schedules based on product introduction, equipment efficiency, and materials supply. Plans and administers procedures and budgets. Makes budgetary recommendations on capital expenditures and direct/indirect labor. Selects and develops personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the production function. Develops schedules and manpower requirements for assigned areas. Minimum Requirements
Requires 1+ years of experience with a high school diploma or equivalent.
Nice to Have
Qualifications Experience leading large frontline manufacturing teams in a highly regulated environment (medical device, pharmaceutical, aerospace, or similar high reliability industries) Proven ability to ramp production capacity, including standing up new shifts, onboarding large assembler populations, and maintaining quality and engagement during rapid growth Background supporting high-volume , high ‑ throughput production lines with strong focus on takt time, line balancing, and operational stability Experience building scalable training and onboarding programs for frontline operators, including cross training and skill progression models Certification or practical experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methods focused on throughput, waste reduction, and process stability (Green Belt preferred) Working knowledge of GMP/FDA
