Maintenance Technician – JLL What this job involves: As a Maintenance Technician, you will play a vital role in maintaining the reliability and performance of mission-critical facilities operating 24/7/365. This position focuses on supporting day-to-day operations and maintenance of specialty critical infrastructure hardware, including electrical systems, generators, UPS units, and precision cooling equipment. Your work directly contributes to JLL's commitment to operational excellence and client satisfaction by ensuring uninterrupted facility performance in high-stakes environments. What your day-to-day will look like: Perform regular rounds of critical environment hardware (electrical switch-gear, generators, uninterruptible power supplies, static transfer switches, power distribution units, precision air conditioners), documenting operating conditions and responding to general and emergency alarms via the building control system Execute precision cleaning protocols in critical environment areas following established technical procedures to maintain optimal operating conditions Complete work order tasks supporting building requirements, including shipping and receiving, light bulb replacement, and rooftop HVAC maintenance Manage information technology asset inventory and documentation Maintain overall exterior and interior building property to ensure professional appearance and safe operations Create detailed documentation supporting engineering preventive maintenance and corrective action tasks Foster positive tenant relations through prompt, courteous response to requests and concerns while maintaining up-to-date knowledge of all emergency procedures Required Qualifications: High School Diploma and/or Vocational School Certificate; Associate degree preferred Prior facility maintenance experience, preferably in critical infrastructure environments Mechanical technical skills enabling independent work without direct engineering supervision more than 50% of the time Ability to work a 24/7/365 on call, emergencies and after hours Strong written, oral, and technical communication skills Physical ability to detect emergency alarms (auditory and/or visual), walk, lift, and climb as required Willingness to sign a Safe Work Practice contract Knowledge of building automation systems (BAS) Preferred Qualifications: Experience with critical infrastructure hardware such as electrical distribution systems, backup power systems, and precision cooling equipment Familiarity with building control systems and alarm management platforms Knowledge of IT asset management processes and documentation systems Demonstrated ability to interpret technical instructions furnished in written, oral, or schedule form Proven track record of maintaining professional, ethical, and courteous relations with contractors and tenants Capacity to become a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on various equipment or processes at the facility location Location: Onsite, Southlake TX-Methodist Salary/Comp: $26 to $32 per hour Schedule : 6:00am to 3:00pm Monday to Friday on call rotation.
