The Mechanical Controls group is an organization within FBM that is responsible for the design and production support of the systems that control the missile both before and after boost.   This position is for a Mechanical Engineer focused on propulsion hardware that collaborates well in a team environment and has excellent communication skills. In this role, you will have numerous opportunities to represent the IPT with our Stakeholders, with many opportunities for career development along the way. The IPT is responsible for the development, manufacture, and management of propulsion hardware within the subsystem.   The information below reflects the standard job description for this position: Researches, plans, designs and develops mechanical products and systems such as instruments, controls, robots, engines, machines and mechanical, thermal hydraulic or heat transfer systems for production, transmission, measurement, and use of energy. Applies research to the planning, design, development, and testing of mechanical and/or electromechanical systems, instruments, controls, engines, and/or machines. Basic Qualifications 
 Experience with engineering lifecycle (examples: SRR, PDR, CDR) Experience with CAD software such as CREO or equivalent Desire and ability to own technical challenges through solution Ability to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance Desired Skills 
 Missile and/or aerospace related education or experience Experience working with procurement and outside suppliers Experience with FBM processes and products Hardware experience including, design, analysis, assembly, integration, and test Excellent verbal/written communication, presentation and interpersonal skills with technical and non-technical audiences Pay Information Full-Time Salary Range: $79300.00 - $147300.00 At  Lockheed Martin, we know mission success starts with taking care of our people.
