Crafted Highlights

As a Beverage Quality Specialist - Operations, you will support quality across high-speed brewing, beverage processing, packaging, and related brewery operations. You will use data analysis, statistical methods, structured problem-solving, and quality-system tools to improve process capability, reduce variation, resolve nonconformances, and protect consumer and brand quality. In partnership with Brewing, Packaging, Engineering, Asset Care, Supply Chain, and Quality, you will strengthen quality execution and sustain reliable, compliant, and efficient manufacturing processes.

This position reports to the Senior Quality and Food Safety Manager and partners closely with Brewing and Packaging Operations.

What You'll Be Brewing

• Partner with suppliers, customers, and cross-functional teams—including Operations, Engineering, Asset Care, and Quality—to improve quality performance across brewery operations. Support the 24-hour manufacturing operation through occasional off-shift, weekend, holiday, audit, startup, or emergency-response coverage based on business needs.

• Analyze manufacturing and quality data using SPC, process-capability analysis, control charts, trend analysis, Pareto analysis, DOE, Six Sigma, and other statistical tools. Use the results to identify emerging risks, establish control strategies, reduce variation, and improve process performance.

• Serve as a technical resource and coach on quality standards, procedures, sanitation, and quality education to optimize current equipment and processes and support new technologies.

• Educate, train, and influence leaders and teams at all levels to reduce process variability and strengthen quality performance.

• Lead continuous improvement initiatives and analyze manufacturing data to improve process capability and line reliability.

• Lead investigations into product defects, process deviations, consumer complaints, supplier issues, and recurring manufacturing losses. Apply appropriate root-cause and risk-assessment tools, including 5-Why, fishbone analysis, fault-tree analysis, 8D, and FMEA. Develop corrective and preventive actions, assign ownership, verify implementation, and evaluate effectiveness.

• Support compliance with applicable FDA and USDA requirements, HACCP and Preventive Controls programs, audit expectations, and internal quality standards.

• Provide quality oversight for new-product introductions, equipment installations, process changes, and capital projects. Support risk assessments, acceptance criteria, commissioning, qualification, validation, process-capability studies, and post-startup performance verification.
