The Project Engineer will be responsible for developing and maintaining design schedules that support our program needs, coordinating resources with functional management, and collaborating cross‑functionally with groups that enable Packaging designs—such as the ECAD, stress analysis, and thermal analysis teams. Planning activities will span the full program lifecycle, from early‑phase baseline development and BOE support to mid‑program re‑baselining to reflect changing requirements or constraints to post release changes. The PE will track the organization’s design‑performance metrics, communicate those results to both program stakeholders and functional leaders, and manage Earned‑Value Management (EVM) data for all design work to refine planned‑versus‑actual estimates across multiple effort streams. In addition, the role emphasizes proactive program outreach to verify that customer needs are being met and that service delivery aligns with the team’s high‑quality standards. Upon completion of each effort, the Project Engineer will solicit feedback, identify corrective actions, and document lessons learned with Packaging leadership to drive continuous improvement. Our team supports a variety of different programs and design efforts ranging from Support Equipment to Flight Electronics Boxes. Within this role you will have a direct impact on the organizations ability to meet schedule milestones associated with design release. Additionally, the role will at times require coordination with Production Operations for floor support needs. For this role you will typically have: 3+ Years of Professional Experience The information below reflects the standard job description for this position Coordinates planning, organization, control, integration and completion of engineering projects within area of assigned responsibility. Plans and formulates engineering program; reviews product design for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, customer contract requirements, and related specifications. Evaluates and approves design changes, specification and drawing releases. Coordinates activities concerned with technical developments, scheduling, and resolving engineering design and test problems. Basic Qualifications Proficient in project planning and product life cycle management Proficient in the usage of Microsoft Office applications (Powerpoint, Excel, Word) Familiarity with planning applications (Project/Open Plan) US Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance Desired Skills Demonstrated ability to work with technical leads to manage cost, schedule, and technical scope Experience in project management principals (Cost/Schedule/Technical). Experience with earned value management and reporting within a product development environment Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to build effective working relationships Prior experience with Electronics Packaging design and product development Exposure to drawings and/or CAD to
