THE ROLE
AMD AIG team is looking for a highly skilled software engineer with expertise in CI/CD pipelines, automation, and modern DevOps practices. You will play a key role in evolving our CI/CD infrastructure for Ryzen AI product line, ensuring high availability, scalability, and efficiency. This is a high-impact position where you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and maintain next-generation CI/CD systems that drive developer productivity and operational excellence. THE PERSON: The ideal candidate is passionate about automation, infrastructure as code ( IaC ), and software engineering best practices. You should have experience working on large-scale CI/CD platforms, operating production-level K8s platform integrating open-source tools, and optimizing workflows for fast, reliable software delivery. A strong understanding of SDLC processes and automation is crucial, along with familiarity with security best practices and static code analysis tools. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively across teams are essential.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Design and implement scalable, high-performance CI/CD pipelines for various components in Ryzen AI stack. Develop automation frameworks for build, test, and deployment infrastructure. Build tools and control plane systems to manage large scale kubernetes platform and in depth cluster lifecycle for running production CIs. Integrate security best practices into CI/CD workflows, including supply chain security and vulnerability scanning. Incorporate SDLC automation practices for improved software quality and compliance. Work with security and static code analysis tools (e.g., SonarQube, Coverity, Snyk, or similar) to enforce code quality and security standards. Collaborate with development teams, program managers to optimize CI/CD workflows. Monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain CI/CD pipelines, ensuring high availability. Drive adoption of infrastructure as code ( IaC ) and containerized deployments. Participate in root cause analysis of build failures and drive issue resolution.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
Years of experience in software engineering, DevOps, or automation. Strong programming skills in Python, Go or C++ Deep understanding of CI/CD pipelines, including Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or equivalent. Experience working or supporting HPC or large-scale accelerated computing platforms. Hands-on experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and microservices. Deep expertise in Kubernetes internals, APIs, controllers or operators, cluster lifecycle management and policy-driven platform automation. Proficiency with GitOps workflows and integrating GitHub/GitLab/ BitBucket webhooks. Experience with security and static analysis tools (e.g., SonarQube, Coverity, Snyk, or similar). Good understanding of SDLC processes and automation techniques. Experience with infrastructure automation (Terraform, Ansible, Chef, or equivalent). Good knowledge of Windows and Linux system administration and networking fundamentals (PXE, IPMI, switching/routing). Familiarity with observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/Kibana).
