Position
Overview: Freddie Mac’s Finance Division is seeking curious, motivated Accounting & Finance Interns to gain entry-level, hands-on experience in accounting, finance, business analysis, and the mortgage industry. Our Impact: Finance is an internal support organization that is instrumental in helping Freddie Mac achieve strategic objectives critical to establishing itself as a marketplace leader. We support business areas with financial analysis and data that inform decisions. As an intern, you will see this impact firsthand through meaningful work in the Finance Division.
Your Impact
Support accounting activities related to “closing the books” and producing accurate GAAP financial statements. Develop your business understanding by reporting on and analyzing data. Assist in preparing unbiased financial reports on business performance for internal management. Gain an understanding of specialized areas of the Finance Division and related areas of the company. Contribute to projects that help solve business problems with guidance from experienced team members. Collaborate with colleagues to execute projects, share knowledge, and build relationships.
Qualifications
Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field Current junior in college or rising senior at the time of the internship Availability to begin the internship in May 2027 Graduation date of December 2027 or May 2028 Keys to Success in this Role: Strong quantitative, analytical, and organizational skills Relevant coursework, projects, campus involvement, or internship experience preferred Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong Microsoft Office skills Must be a great teammate and able to work collaboratively Self-driven, curious, eager to learn, and committed to contributing to the Finance Division Interns are paid a set, non-negotiable rate.
