Skills and Competencies 5+ years of credit/risk assessment experience, with a proven track record in fund finance, asset management, or structured finance Demonstrated understanding of asset management and fund finance sectors, including key players and industry drivers Excellent communication skills, with demonstrated public speaking and writing experience Strong quantitative aptitude and analytical skills, with proficiency in financial modeling Highly organized and efficient, with the ability to multi-task and manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines Basic understanding of artificial intelligence concepts, with curiosity and enthusiasm for learning how AI tools can be used to improve processes and drive efficiency. Interest in exploring AI systems and a willingness to develop awareness of responsible AI practices, including risk management and ethical use Education Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field, or equivalent Responsibilities This role leads credit analysis and assigns ratings to fund finance transactions, driving analytical excellence and market engagement across North America. Lead the analysis for assigning both new and surveillance ratings to fund finance transactions, including rated note feeders, subscription credit facilities, net asset value loans, and asset-backed lending facilities Ensure rating accuracy for assigned fund finance credits and apply Moody's methodologies consistently, with guidance from senior colleagues Participate in Rating Committees for assigned credits and sector, contributing to analytical discussions and building confidence and judgment over time Build and maintain strong relationships with fund sponsors, lenders, and arrangers to support analytical excellence and market insight Represent Moody's Ratings as a thought leader by presenting at industry conferences, webinars, and podcasts, and authoring sector comments Support market engagement by responding to investor queries, joining issuer meetings, and developing external relationships Contribute to methodology and technology development projects, and actively use AI and digital tools to improve processes and analytical output Mentor and coach junior rating analysts, supporting their professional growth and credit skills development About the Team Our Funds and Asset Management team is responsible for delivering high-quality credit ratings and research across North America, enhancing market transparency, supporting investor decision-making, and expanding our brand as a trusted source of credit insight.
