About this role
As we establish our India Engineering Center of Excellence (COE), we are looking for an experienced Senior Product Owner to lead delivery of Privileged Access Management (PAM), our capabilities for securing, brokering, and auditing access to privileged credentials.
This role will own the product backlog and day-to-day execution across privileged account discovery, credential vaulting and check-out, just-in-time (JIT) access requests, approval workflows, session brokering and recording, policy enforcement, and audit/compliance reporting spanning the admin console, vault, and integrations with target systems. You will work closely with Product Management, Engineering, Design, Security, Customer Success, Sales, and selected enterprise customers to turn complex privileged-access requirements into intuitive, reliable, and auditable product experiences.
The ideal candidate combines strong product-delivery discipline with a working understanding of Privileged Access Management (PAM), identity and access management (IAM), least-privilege principles, and enterprise security and compliance needs.
What You Will Do
• Own and manage the PAM backlog: write, refine, and prioritize user stories, acceptance criteria, and technical tasks in collaboration with engineering and product management.
• Drive sprint planning and backlog grooming, ensuring stories capture privileged-session behaviors, approval-chain logic, credential rotation, and target-system integration edge cases.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for the engineering team during delivery clarifying requirements for JIT access requests, time-bound credential leasing, session recording/replay, and policy enforcement.
• Partner with Product Management to translate PAM strategy into well-defined epics, milestones, and sprint-ready work, including standing privilege elimination, ephemeral access, and break-glass workflows.
• Manage work across multiple product surfaces admin console, vault, approval interfaces, and integration APIs tracking dependencies and maintaining alignment across teams.
• Set and manage delivery timelines: maintain realistic sprint and milestone forecasts, surface risks early, and communicate timeline changes clearly to stakeholders before they become surprises.
• Collaborate with Design, QA, Security, and Compliance to define acceptance criteria that support secure, reliable, and auditable customer experiences.
• Ensure requirements account for governance, separation of duties, approval chains, session auditability, and privileged-access lifecycle management (provisioning through de-provisioning).
• Track and communicate sprint progress, delivery risks, decisions, and dependency status to Product and Engineering leadership.
• Engage with customer feedback, support escalations, and enterprise security/compliance stakeholders to refine story prioritization and surface unmet workflow needs.
• Identify, coordinate, and manage cross-functional dependencies throughout the product development lifecycle
• Support release planning, readiness reviews, launch coordination, and post-release evaluation
• Use AI tools and automation to accelerate discovery, requirements writing, story creation, documentation, and delivery workflows.
• Understand software fundamentals relevant to PAM, including APIs, integrations, data models, authentication, authorization, and privileged-session brokering.
• Understand core identity and security concepts such as least privilege, role-based and attribute-based access control, policy enforcement, approvals, session recording
• Understand cloud-based and self-hosted product considerations, including configuration, deployment, licensing, and version compatibility across customer environments.
