Job Description Job Title: Regulatory and Capital Reporting Corporate Title: Vice President Division: Finance Location: Singapore Function Overview: The Singapore regulatory reporting team sits under the AEJ Financial Control and reporting team and has a well-defined mandate of managing regulatory reporting, financial resource usage and stakeholder management covering Global Markets, Wealth Management and Investment Banking, The team partners closely with other functions and regions to facilitate the accurate measurement of regulatory obligations, the analysis of new deals/products and to manage change to help drive accurate reporting and achieve best return on equity and mitigate reporting and regulatory risk. Role Overview: This role focuses on regulatory reporting covering MAS/SGX reporting, capital regulation and regulatory change management. The firm has ambitious medium term growth plans; the value proposition is to partner with business units to navigate the evolving regulatory landscape while ensuring compliance and optimizing regulatory capital efficiency across the regional franchise. The role requires strong reporting expertise combined with practical implementation skills to respond to changing regulatory requirements. In-depth knowledge of Singapore regulatory frameworks, Basel requirements, and general IFRS accounting standards is expected to be the foundation for this role. Strong communication and presentation skills would be instrumental to translate complex regulatory requirements into actionable business guidance. Strong corporate governance attitude is also expected as we build trust with regulators by demonstrating transparent and robust policy implementation processes under a well-governed control environment. The role also involves data analysis, reconciliation, variance investigation and documentation to strengthen the bank’s compliance with MAS requirements. The successful candidate will also assist in the adhoc financial and regulatory reporting projects as assigned. Responsibilities: Regulatory Reporting
Team member on the Singapore regulatory reporting team owning the management and execution of MAS reporting obligations Manage and maintain regulatory reporting frameworks and governance with offshore support team in India Support finance initiatives including driving automation and process improvements specifically eg for MAS 1003, MAS1111, SFA Risk based capital Assist in preparation and/or review of other MAS/SGX returns and prudential returns. Maintain and update interpretation document and standard operating procedures (SOP).
Trade Reviews & Analysis
Conduct regulatory analysis of structured trades and complex transactions to ensure appropriate capital and regulatory reporting Support the approval process for new products and transactions through relevant governance committees
Regulatory Change Management
Lead implementation of regulatory reporting changes, coordinating across functions to ensure timely and compliant adoption Develop change management frameworks and processes to handle ongoing regulatory evolution
