Discover how transformative growth accelerates impact. Meet the Team The team is part of Millennium’s Information Technology organization, which is core to the health and growth of the firm. It builds, manages, and maintains applications and fundamental data that support Portfolio Management groups in managing risk and PnL. The team develops and supports next-generation in-house risk and analytics tools across risk, analytics, trading, portfolio visualization, and market data. What You'll Do • Monitor and automate application, infrastructure, and cloud alerts, responding quickly to production issues. • Maintain the stability, performance, and uptime of tools and applications owned by the team. • Perform application and infrastructure monitoring, health checks, troubleshooting, and user support. • Provide L2/L3 production support and take ownership of the production environment for key business applications. • Identify improvement opportunities, assess business risk accurately, and help prioritize remediation efforts. • Ensure outstanding issues are effectively handed over to other regions and followed through to resolution. • Support releases and meetings outside standard working hours, including weekend and shift coverage when required. • Build deep subject matter expertise and become a trusted point of contact for assigned applications and services. What You Bring • Experience partnering directly with portfolio managers and traders. • At least 5 years of professional experience with Python, Unix/Linux shell scripting, and SQL. • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex application and infrastructure issues. • A self-starting approach, with the ability to learn new concepts and technologies quickly. • Demonstrated ownership and commitment to carrying tasks through to completion. • Familiarity with DevOps tools and technologies, such as Docker, Kubernetes, Kafka, Maven, and AWS, is preferred. • Experience supporting enterprise risk applications in a production environment is preferred. • Interest in public cloud and serverless architecture is beneficial.
