Standard Job Description You will be the Circuit Card Design Engineer for the Hardware Engineering team at Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control (MFC). Our team designs, develops and fields precision engagement aerospace and defense systems, delivering high reliability circuit card assemblies (CCAs) that power missiles, sensors and other mission critical subsystems.
What You Will Be Doing
As the Circuit Design Engineer you will ensure technical excellence across your assigned tasks, drive those tasks to successful completion, and keep stakeholders fully informed of progress and issues. You’ll work closely with production, program, and cross‑functional teams to deliver high‑quality, on‑schedule hardware. Your responsibilities will include: Lead supplier technical activities for a subsystem. Oversee full product life cycle: design development, milestone reviews, SDRL concurrence, Functional Acceptance Test, Design Verification Test (DVT), and environmental qualification (MIL STD 810, MIL STD 464). Coordinate Functional & Physical Configuration Audits and Production Readiness events. Report risks/concerns to Program Manager and Chief Engineer; act as liaison to resolve supplier issues. Basic Qualifications Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related STEM field from an accredited university Extensive experience with circuit card design, integration, and test across multiple domains (digital, power, analog, FPGA/SoC) Experience with developing and refining system requirements, including performance, interface, and environmental requirements Experience with Siemens Xpedition Enterprise or equivalent for schematic capture Experience with Cadence PSpice or equivalent for circuit simulation and analysis Experience interpreting complex electrical schematics for circuit card assemblies Desired Skills Experience with MFC circuit card design processes and the Design Assurance process Experience with missile system and sensor architectures Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor hardware design engineers Experience with Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) tasking, status reporting, and Earned Value Management Experience with FPGA, SoC, and SoM devices from Xilinx/AMD, Intel/Altera, Microsemi/Actel, or equivalent FPGA design experience; proficiency in Verilog, SystemVerilog, or VHDL Experience with rigidflex circuit card design Experience with MOSA (Modular Open Systems Architecture) and WOSA (Weapon Open Systems Architecture) Experience with CAMEO or equivalent requirements management tools Understanding of EO/IR imaging processing techniques and high-speed data/memory interface implementation Familiarity with electrical and mechanical design interfaces and test environments (MIL-STD-810) Pay Information Full-Time Salary Range: $120600.00 - $224000.00 At Lockheed Martin, we know mission success starts with taking care of our people.
