The Software Business Area within the Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking an experienced Technical Editor/Writer to join our diverse and talented material development group to support our customers. As a Technical Editor/Writer, you will be responsible for developing Software installation material and documentation, as well as related technical publications. You must be able to communicate clearly and effectively to express technical specifications and instructions to a wide range of audiences and acquire subject knowledge by interviewing product developers, observing performance of production methods, referring to and understanding technical specifications, engineering drawings, and trade journals. to communicate clearly and effectively technical specifications and instructions to Subject Matter Experts.  This position is located in Huntsville, Alabama without remote work possibility.

To be considered for this position, you must, at a minimum, meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below: Technical Editor and Writer (Level 2): 2 Years experience as a Technical Editor and Writer with a Bachelor’s degree; 0 Years experience with a Master’s degree; additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree Principal Technical Editor and Writer (Level 3): 5 Years experience as a Technical Editor and Writer with a Bachelor’s degree; 2 Years experience with a Master’s degree; additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree Sr. Principal Technical Editor and Writer (level 4): 8 Years experience as a Technical Editor and Writer with a Bachelor’s degree; 5 Years experience with a Master’s
