Strategy and Business Development Associate

The D. E. Shaw group seeks individuals with impressive records of achievement to join one of the firm’s strategy and business development (SBD) departments as associates, where they’ll drive strategic and commercial outcomes through challenging, high-impact projects. SBD is central to the firm's strategic initiatives and to advancing some of its highest priorities, including identifying new opportunities, launching businesses and funds, raising and retaining capital, analyzing portfolios and assessing risk, and shaping how the firm communicates to key stakeholder audiences. The role offers the chance to participate in a collaborative, cohort-style onboarding program, learn from leaders while building a strong foundational knowledge of the firm's businesses, and develop critical skills and vibrant connections in a collegial, engaging environment.
