Job Description YOUR MISSION Romania is one of Glovo's most important markets, and food delivery is one of the most talked about industries in the country, so what gets written about us shapes how customers, partners and decision makers see the business. Your challenge is to make Glovo the voice that sets the agenda in this industry in Romania, known as the company putting local restaurants and small businesses on the digital map. You will own that outcome for the whole market, working as the only PR person on the ground with the backing of an agency and our regional and global communications teams. THE JOURNEY Own How Glovo is understood in Romania, across both corporate and consumer media. You set the positioning with our global communications team, decide which stories we tell and when, and prepare the people who speak for us, including our General Manager for Romania Build and hold your own direct relationships with journalists across business, general news, tech and lifestyle media, so that Glovo is known to the people who write about this industry Own how we respond when something needs handling. You spot it early, decide the approach and lead the response, working with our Public Affairs team and local leadership Put Glovo on stage where this industry is discussed, from business and leadership forums through to food and hospitality events Lead our PR agency rather than take briefs from it. You set the brief, review the work and hold the standard Work closely with our commercial, operations and impact teams here in Romania, who see what is happening in the market first, and turn what they know into what we say publicly Report regularly on what your work achieves, covering volume of coverage, sentiment and share of voice Qualifications WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE RIDE At least three years in PR or media relations, built either in house at a large company or at a strong agency Real experience of issues and crisis communication. You have been there when a difficult story was about to run, and you know what the first two hours look like Both corporate and consumer communications. You can handle a business or reputation story as confidently as a brand campaign Knowledge of the Romanian media landscape, and your own working relationships with journalists, not only the ones your agency holds The ability to work with little supervision and keep moving when priorities change, alongside senior people who have strong opinions and very little time Excellent written and spoken Romanian, and fluent English Nice to haves Experience briefing and directing a PR agency, rather than only working to briefs from one Experience in an industry that is closely watched, such as platforms, financial services, telecoms or energy Experience working with a regional or global communications team across more than one market An academic background in Communication, Public Relations, Journalism or Marketing Individuals representing diverse profiles, encompassing various genders , ethnicities, and backgrounds, are less likely to apply for this role if they do not possess solid experience in 100% of these areas.
