Summer Intern - Tax - Carmel, Indiana As an Allegion tax intern, you will contribute meaningful work and make a direct impact to the finance team. You will gain hands-on experience in U.S. state income tax compliance with additional exposure to other areas of corporate tax. Additional opportunities include one-on-one access to leaders throughout our finance team, experience with the latest tax technology, opportunities to give back to the central Indiana community and an open and casual working/learning environment. Ideally, you have an inquisitive nature and are ‘curious beyond the obvious’; eager to learn by asking questions with the ability to problem-solve in an efficient and creative way. What You Will Do
Partner with the U.S. state income tax team to prepare state income tax returns for various corporate and partnership entities Opportunities to research state statutes for the purpose of supporting tax return filing positions Assist with other tax projects as needed Obtain the experience to create a foundation for growth and future opportunities within tax or finance What You Need to Succeed: Pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance or a relevant discipline Effective listening, time management and creative problem-solving techniques An inquisitive nature, the aptitude to ask questions and apply outcomes to similar situations Demonstrated leadership ability and initiative e.g. school club officer, sports team captain, resident advisor, leadership on school or work projects, etc. Why Work for Us?
