As a Senior Manager, you will work with leading multinational organisations, listed and privately owned businesses, private equity firms and infrastructure investors, helping them navigate complex domestic and international tax matters with confidence and clarity.   As part of EY's International Tax and Transaction Services practice, our International Tax team provides high value-add consulting services to both New Zealand and global clients across all aspects of cross-border commerce. You will provide strategic tax advisory services in relation to international expansion, global restructures, transactions, cross-border income flows and global effective tax rate management. Working closely with colleagues across EY's service lines, you will combine deep technical expertise with commercial insight to deliver practical solutions that create value for clients.   This role offers the opportunity to build trusted senior client relationships, lead complex engagements, develop future talent and contribute to a high-performing, inclusive and collaborative team.     Ko Tō Rourou |   Your key responsibilities       In this senior leadership role, you will lead the delivery of complex international tax advisory engagements, support clients with significant structuring and transactional decisions and contribute to an exceptional client experience. You will also provide coaching and technical leadership across the team while supporting business development and market growth initiatives.

Lead and advise New Zealand groups on all aspects of managing the tax implications of maintaining, expanding and reorganising their global footprint. Advise large globally parented multinational groups on their New Zealand operations, investments and cross-border activities, including significant transactions and restructures. Provide strategic advice across all aspects of international tax, including cross-border income flows, transactions and reorganisations, international controversy management and global effective tax rate management. Build and maintain trusted client relationships, lead engagement teams and translate complex tax concepts into clear, commercially focused advice for senior stakeholders. Drive the successful delivery of engagements by managing project risk, budgets, timelines and team performance while coaching and mentoring colleagues to support their professional development.

Ngā Pūkenga |   Skills and attributes for success     You will bring substantial tax experience, sound professional judgement and the ability to communicate complex matters clearly. You will be comfortable working with a range of stakeholders and supporting others to deliver high-quality outcomes in a collaborative environment.

Significant experience in international tax advisory, with deep knowledge of New Zealand taxation and demonstrated expertise across international tax matters, including cross-border structures, transactions, reorganisations and multinational tax issues. Strong technical capability, including experience analysing complex tax matters, investigating tax exposures and providing practical, commercially focused advice to clients.
