Nordstrom has an opportunity for a customer obsessed , results oriented Finance Manager to join our Nordstrom Merchandising Group (NMG) Finance team. You will own the financial support for our evolving brand partnerships strategy and operations, and you will build financial modeling to support emerging business ventures and partnerships, develop effective and insightful reporting on operations and monthly/quarterly results, and build and maintain effective brand and business partner relationships. This role is well suited for you if you are a collaborator and someone with a high-level of curiosity, have a strong foundation in finance and analytical skills, can think critically, problem solve, and have an aptitude to learn new systems. NOTE : This position is offered as a hybrid role in the Seattle, WA area , where you will be in office 4 days per week. A day in the life… Collaborate with business leaders and cross functional partners in the development of business case objectives and financial modeling to support brand negotiations. Effectively discuss the tradeoffs, benefits, and the prioritization of various approaches with leaders Identify metrics and build reports to measure performance against defined objectives to validate the success of strategic initiatives Partner with senior leaders to anticipate future business challenges and opportunities, while proactively developing and building financial models for evolving long term strategies Participate in the development and execution of our strategic merchandising and financial plans Perform ad hoc analyses and special projects, synthesize, and clearly communicate findings to support executive-level decisions Commitment to successful completion of individual assignments and support for the overall team's responsibilities and goals You own this if you have… 5+ years of experience in finance with scope and accountability progression Proven experience in analysis, modeling, and reporting financial performance Ability to build strong relationships with peers, business partners, and senior leadership Excellent MS Excel and PowerPoint abilities, experience with Tableau and SQL a plus Storytelling experience with strong verbal and written communication skills Demonstrated ability to manage priorities and timelines Attention to detail, data integrity and accuracy Retail industry experience a plus Pay Range Details The pay range(s) below has been provided in compliance with state specific laws. Pay ranges may be different for other locations.
