Position Specific Description • Collaborate with accounting team members, underwriters, actuaries, and other personnel to ensure that assumptions and forecast model calculations are appropriately updated (Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Cashflow Statement, and other metrics) • Review the results of the forecasting process to ensure that they are reasonable and align with business plans. • Review and assist with the explanation of variances between actual results and expectations. • Provide strategy support through development of forecast scenarios and other financial analyses used in strategy decks and leadership decision-making. • Support the monthly close process by reviewing non-affiliate entries against expectations, investigating unexpected results, and identifying potential data quality issues. • Assist with parent company reporting requirements in terms of timely financial submissions and business commentary. • Work with the CFO to participate in the development of enhanced reporting to Palms’ leadership (CEO, President, underwriting leaders), and facilitate meaningful discussions on business performance and expectations. • Assist with the implementation of new business arrangements and entities into the forecasting processes. • Assist with the enhancement of the current procedures to be more streamlined and integrated with other processes. • Work with the Palms CFO on new business initiatives Job Overview
The Data Governance leader plays a critical role in supporting the organization’s daily operations and enabling long-term growth by driving enterprise-wide data quality and governance standards, with a focus on the Insurance Programs and Specialty P&C insurance business. This role is responsible for establishing and enforcing data governance policies, frameworks, and controls, while partnering closely with business, technology, and compliance teams to ensure alignment on data privacy, security, storage, and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will lead data quality initiatives, manage governance-related projects, and chair the Palms Data Governance Committee. This role requires a balance of strategic thinking and hands-on execution, with the ability to work across departments to translate complex data needs into clear, actionable outcomes that drive consistency, transparency, and operational effectiveness. Job Duties & Responsibilities
Establish the Data Governance Framework, which includes designing and implementing comprehensive data governance policies, standards, and procedures across all business functions; defining data ownership, accountability, and stewardship models to ensure clear responsibility for data quality and integrity; and creating and maintaining data dictionaries, class tables, and other similar standards Define and execute the company’s data governance roadmap including best practices, controls, data quality checks and security protocols Support the implementation and maintenance of the Data Compliance Program across the business functions, ensuring Palms meets its legal, regulatory, and reputational responsibilities Support Compliance in maintaining documentation for annual certifications regarding data compliance and reporting to relevant governance bodies; including compliance with NYDFS and CCPA regulations Establish and chair the Palms Data Governance Committee reporting into Palms executive leadership Establish and implement standards for HIPPA, PII, PCI and PHI compliance Ensure data lifecycle management – from
