Responsibilities Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Java, Selenium, Playwright, Cucumber, and API testing frameworks. Design and execute UI automation test cases for web applications using Selenium and Playwright. Create and maintain BDD feature files, scenarios, step definitions, and reusable Cucumber frameworks. Perform API testing, including functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end validation. Validate API requests and responses, including status codes, headers, payloads, and authentication. Write and execute SQL queries for backend data validation and database integrity checks. Perform end-to-end testing across UI, API, and database layers. Develop scalable, reusable, and maintainable automation frameworks using Java. Identify, document, track, and troubleshoot defects in collaboration with development teams. Execute smoke, sanity, functional, integration, and regression testing. Integrate automation test suites with CI/CD pipelines and analyze test execution results. Participate in test planning, estimation, code reviews, defect triage, and release validation. Collaborate with developers, business analysts, product owners, and QA teams to understand requirements and define test scenarios.

Requirements Strong programming knowledge in Java , including OOP concepts, collections, exception handling, and basic file handling. Hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver , locators, waits, browser handling, actions, screenshots, and Page Object Model. Hands-on experience with Playwright for web automation, locators, assertions, browser contexts, and parallel execution. Good understanding of API testing , REST APIs, HTTP methods, status codes, headers, authentication, and JSON. Experience with API testing tools/frameworks such as Postman and/or REST Assured . Strong SQL knowledge, including SELECT, JOINs, GROUP BY, subqueries, aggregate functions, and data validation. Good understanding of Cucumber/BDD , Gherkin syntax, feature files, Scenario Outline, Background, hooks, and step definitions. Knowledge of JUnit/TestNG and Maven/Gradle. Familiarity with Git/version control and CI/CD tools. Understanding of automation framework design, reusable components, coding standards, and debugging. Ability to convert business/functional requirements into effective test scenarios and automation scripts. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and problem-solving skills.
