Director - Japanese Unit The Director, Japanese Business Unit (JBU), leads Aon's Japanese client business in Thailand and serves as the primary executive responsible for developing, managing, and expanding relationships with Japanese multinational corporations and Japanese-invested companies operating in Thailand and the region. The role drives business growth through strategic client engagement, cross-border collaboration, risk advisory solutions, and coordination with Aon colleagues across Japan and the Asia Pacific region. The Director ensures exceptional service delivery, promotes Aon United collaboration, and identifies opportunities to expand client relationships across all solution lines. What the day will look like Strategic Business Leadership Develop and execute the business strategy for the Japanese Business Unit in Thailand. Drive sustainable revenue growth and profitability within the Japanese client portfolio. Identify emerging opportunities arising from Japanese foreign direct investment (FDI) and business expansion into Thailand. Align local business initiatives with regional and global client strategies. Client Relationship Management Serve as senior relationship leader for key Japanese multinational and regional clients. Build trusted advisor relationships with senior executives and decision-makers. Lead strategic client reviews and executive-level discussions. Ensure high client retention and satisfaction levels. Business Development Drive acquisition of new Japanese corporate clients entering or expanding within Thailand. Identify cross-selling opportunities across all solution lines. Develop and implement market penetration plans for targeted industries and client segments. Leverage regional and global Aon networks to generate referrals and new business opportunities. Cross-Border Collaboration Coordinate closely with Aon Japan offices and regional AGCN leadership. Facilitate seamless delivery of global insurance programs and multinational solutions. Support inbound and outbound client opportunities between Japan, Thailand, and other markets. Promote collaboration across local, regional, and global teams to deliver integrated client solutions. Risk & Insurance Advisory Provide strategic guidance on risk management, insurance placement, employee benefits, and multinational program structures. Support sophisticated negotiations with insurers and business partners. Ensure solutions meet client needs, regulatory requirements, and market guidelines. Operational Excellence Oversee service delivery standards for the Japanese client portfolio. Ensure timely and accurate execution of client commitments. Monitor operational performance and continuous improvement initiatives. Maintain strong governance and risk management practices. People Leadership Lead and mentor members of the Japanese Business Unit. Develop a collaborative and client-centric culture. Support talent development, succession planning, and employee engagement. Encourage knowledge sharing between local and regional teams. Financial Management Develop annual business plans, forecasts, and budgets. Monitor revenue performance and pipeline development. Manage profitability, growth targets, and resource allocation. Present business performance updates to senior leadership. Skills and experience that will lead to success Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Insurance, Economics, International Business, or related field. MBA or advanced degree preferred. Extensive experience in insurance brokerage, risk consulting, or multinational client management. Demonstrated experience working with Japanese multinational organizations. Strong understanding of multinational insurance
