Company: Qualcomm India Private Limited Job Area: Engineering Group, Engineering Group > Software Engineering General Summary: Job Overview : The QCT Software Automation and Tools (QSWAT) group is seeking Full-Time QA Test Engineers to ensure the quality of QSWAT tools through manual and automated testing . These tools are widely used across QCT Software development and test organizations. The role involves designing, developing, and automating test cases for cloud-hosted, web-based tools . Candidates will work with modern test automation frameworks and technologies, including AWS , SpecFlow BDD , C# , Playwright and Python scripting . The position offers the opportunity to collaborate closely with development teams and contribute to improving tool quality and reliability at scale. Minimum Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum of 2+ years of academic or industry experience in software quality engineering. Strong hands-on experience with test automation frameworks and tools, including Selenium WebDriver , BDD-based testing frameworks , and Playwright with TypeScript . Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python . Solid understanding and hands-on experience with various testing methodologies, including UI testing , automated testing , and Test-Driven Development (TDD) practices. Experience working with software QA tools, testing processes, and quality best practices . Ability to plan, design, and manage overall quality strategy , including test planning and execution. Working knowledge of SQL Server or similar relational databases , including experience with ORMs such as Entity Framework and/or Dapper . Experience using version control systems such as Perforce or Gerrit . Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS) and CI/CD tools such as Docker and Jenkins . Exposure to multiple cloud platforms (Azure, GCP) and application performance testing is a strong plus. Experience applying GenAI use cases to improve QA processes and automation efficiency.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, and automate test cases using BDD-based test frameworks , and Playwright . Perform comprehensive testing of QSWAT tools , identify quality gaps, and report defects effectively. Analyze issues in QSWAT tools and propose practical, scalable solutions . Continuously evaluate tool quality and drive improvements to enhance customer satisfaction . Plan, define, and manage the overall quality strategy , including test planning and execution. Collaborate closely with Tools Development teams to ensure consistent and high-quality project delivery. Identify QA process bottlenecks and recommend corrective and preventive actions. Lead and oversee continuous improvement initiatives across tools and processes. Collect and analyze quality data and define key quality metrics (KPIs) for tool performance. Prepare, present, and communicate quality reports, dashboards, and metrics to Senior Management.
