We are seeking a Medical Director Hematology Medical Affairs Austria to join our Medical Affairs team, supporting our hematology business area in a hybrid work mode. In this role, you will provide scientific and medical leadership, shape medical strategy, and advance clinical and medical initiatives while collaborating with Medical Affairs, Clinical Sciences, Regulatory, Commercial, Market Access, and external experts. When & where: Austria & Fieldbased Discover your role: Serve as the in-country medical lead for hematology programs and scientific initiatives. Represent Medical Affairs in cross-functional planning with regional, international, and headquarters teams. Lead and develop the hematology medical team through mentoring, hiring, training, and performance management. Support clinical development through investigator engagement, site identification, and research activities. Deliver scientific presentations to physicians, pharmacists, and other healthcare partners. Partner with field medical teams on congresses, symposia, advisory boards, and medical content. Provide medical input to commercialization, market access, launch readiness, and lifecycle strategies. You build positive relationships and bring actionable insights that strengthen patient-focused decision making. This role requires: MD or PhD with hematology expertise and significant pharmaceutical or biotechnology Medical Affairs experience. Recent multiple myeloma experience and a well-established network of clinical experts. Solid understanding of Medical Affairs practices and applicable country codes of conduct. Experience supporting clinical research and clinical development, preferably in hematology. Understanding of the local healthcare environment and product lifecycle development. Ability to identify strategic Medical Affairs opportunities and optimize planning. Proven success working across matrix and cross-functional organizations. Ability to build credibility with internal stakeholders, key opinion leaders, and external experts. Strong leadership, mentor, and people management capabilities. Excellent scientific communication skills with the ability to deliver strategic, actionable insights. Ability to manage multiple projects independently while maintaining compliance standards.
