Senior Software Engineer - CTJ - TS/SCI

Microsoft has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Software Engineer in the Cloud+AI Azure Data team. As part of a core product engineering group, you will develop features, improvements, enhancements, and bugfixes within Azure Data products which are used by Microsoft’s worldwide customer base. As a member of the Azure Data team, you will also be responsible for deploying and operating Azure services within an air-gapped environment. In this role, as a Senior Software Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work with engineers who enable a broad set of Azure services to be consumed by internal and external customers in highly secured and regulated industries. Design and build scalable, secure, and reliable solutions for Azure Data services, ensuring high quality and modularity. Improve test coverage, implement integration tests, and address issues to enhance service reliability and maintainability. Automate production and deployment processes, running code in non-production environments to ensure functionality. Uphold compliance with security, privacy, safety, and accessibility standards, and demonstrate product compliance. Integrate telemetry and data analytics to monitor system health, drive product refinement, and inform engineering decisions. Maintain live service operations, respond promptly to incidents, and implement solutions to complex issues as they arise. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR equivalent experience.  Other Requirements: Security Clearance Requirements: Candidates must be able to meet Microsoft, customer and/orgovernment security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include,but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Candidates must have an active TS/SCI and be willing and eligible to upgrade to TS/SCI (with polygraph). This role will require candidates to maintain the TS/SCI (with polygraph) clearance. Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required pre-offer and post-hire for this role.
