Northrop Grumman is seeking an Associate (Level 1) Supply Chain Procurement Specialist . This position will be located at our Defense Systems Sector in Plymouth, MN, which supports our armament systems business unit. This opportunity will repot onsite daily in Plymouth, but have the ability to telework on a hybrid schedule.

Position

Summary:   Sources and procures specialized goods and services of a commodity nature from multiple suppliers. Initiates Requests for Quotations and Proposals and receives same, analyzing proposed pricing from potential suppliers. In conjunction with quality organization, evaluates and monitors supplier quality and reliability, as well as supplier ability to support required delivery schedules. Works with internal customers to ensure specifications are appropriate for the services or products required. Identifies opportunities to reduce cost, improve efficiency and manage risk through targeted negotiations. Issues purchase orders. Manages performance of purchase orders, ensures compliance with all public law requirements as well as company (and business) policies and procedures including import/export regulations. Employs sound business practices and assesses supplier performance as part of follow-up activities. Ensures that appropriate documentation is provided to logistics/transportation & warehouse organization so that proper receipt is recorded. Reviews and approves supplier payment as needed. Utilizes process tools such as Lean Six Sigma with suppliers to drive quality, efficiency and continuous improvement.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelors degree in supply chain, business, finance, or related field Understanding of procurement policies, procedures, and regulations Possess ability to collaborate with program management and other multi-functional teams Have general understanding & knowledge of FAR/DFAR and associated Federal Contracting regulations Demonstrate ability to multi-task and make decisions in a timely manner Ability to work with minimal supervision, work successfully in a fast- paced environment and apply sound judgment to problem solving Strong verbal and written communication skills-Demonstrated leadership, critical thinking and innovative behaviors in past projects, roles, or experiences Preferred Qualifications: 1+ years of related supply chain procurement experience Primary Level Salary Range:
