Job responsibilities
Develop and execute risk management criteria for retail overdraft and connected commerce collections Oversee collection and recovery processes to ensure effective outcomes Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation measures Establish and maintain policies and procedures for compliance and best practices Monitor and analyze key performance indicators, reporting insights to senior management Lead and mentor risk management professionals, fostering continuous improvement Collaborate with cross-functional teams for holistic risk management strategies Integrate advanced analytics and technology solutions to enhance processes Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations Articulate the impact of risks and issues on business functions Influence business leaders with clear communication Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills: Understanding of account lifecycle, including underwriting, portfolio management, and collections Detailed knowledge of key performance metrics and profitability drivers Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience Experience in credit risk management with focus on overdraft and/or connected commerce collection and recovery Solid functional knowledge in credit risk strategy, business development, product development, and project management Understanding of cross-functional dependencies to support risk appetite Ability to articulate business impacts of risks and issues Excellent written and verbal communication skills Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to translate business problems into technical solutions SAS or equivalent data mining expertise Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills: 7+ years of financial services experience in risk management, controls, audit, quality assurance, or compliance Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Risk Management, Law, Engineering, or related field; Master’s degree or professional certification (CFA, FRM, JD) preferred Extensive experience in risk management, especially in collection and recovery Proven track record in developing and implementing collection and recovery strategies Strong analytical skills for interpreting complex data Excellent leadership and team management abilities
