About this role
Become a part of our caring community The Senior Learning Design Professional applies instructional design, cognitive psychology, and adult learning theory to develop solutions for knowledge or performance gaps. Assignments often involve moderately complex to complex issues, requiring in-depth evaluation of variable factors. You will analyze and organizing content, designing learning solutions, and creating storyboards, scripts, performance support materials, mobile learning, and manuals. You will collaborate with subject matter experts to assess learning needs and provide input for course content. The Senior Learning Design Professional writes learning goals, coordinates performance assessments to measure training effectiveness, and ensures course materials are current and aligned with training needs Additional responsibilities include: Track and analyze training program effectiveness through learner satisfaction, proficiency testing, and job performance improvement. Provide instruction and guidance to facilitators. Utilize social media and collaborative tools to facilitate learning. Shaping, and developing training curriculum, materials, and job aids to meet specific training needs. Conduct needs analyses with clients to determine the necessity and relevance of learning solutions. Influence departmental strategy and make decisions on technical approaches for project components. Exercise considerable latitude in determining goals and approaches to assignments, performing work independently. Use your skills to make an impact Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution. At least 3 years of experience learning design, focused on adult learners. Minimum 2 years in a consumer-facing position, demonstrating customer orientation. Proficiency with Articulate 360, including Storyline and Rise. Demonstrated experience with eLearning strategies and adult learning theories. Experience with contributing to continuous improvement of member and customer experiences. Knowledge of PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams or equivalent tools Preferred Qualifications At least 3 years of experience in Medicaid, Medicare, provider products, contact center, or healthcare or insurance environments. Minimum of 4 years of experience designing curriculum content, eLearning programs, and virtual learning solutions. Demonstrated project management experience; PMP certification. Master's degree in Learning and Performance, Education, Communications, Performance Consulting, Industrial/Organizational Development, Human Resources, or related field. Proficiency in designing virtual instructor-led training. Experience managing courses within a Learning Management System (LMS). Measure the effectiveness of learning solutions and align them with performance outcomes. Ideal applicant will be located near Louisville, KY as there may be some in office project work/meetings Additional Information This position will start between 7-9AM EST understanding that the schedule is based on project work/meetings Work at Home Requirements: To ensure Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees’ ability to work effectively, the self-provided internet service of Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees must meet the following criteria: At minimum, a download speed of 25 Mbps and an upload speed of 10 Mbps is required; wireless, wired cable or DSL connection is suggested. Travel: While this is a remote position, occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings may be required. Scheduled Weekly Hours 40 Pay Range The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week)
