Sr. Design Manager - Data Center

Role description: We are seeking an experienced Design Manager to lead the planning, design coordination, and execution of hyperscale data center projects. Acting as the owner's representative, this individual will partner with stakeholders, consultants, contractors, and project teams to deliver complex, mission-critical facilities across domestic and international locations. The role is responsible for design management, project planning, contract administration, budgeting, scheduling, risk management, quality assurance, and stakeholder coordination throughout the project lifecycle. Role accountabilities:

Serve as the owner's representative through all phases of design and construction. Lead coordination of design teams, consultants, contractors, and stakeholders. Manage project scope, schedule, budget, risk, and change management processes. Oversee design reviews, constructability assessments, value engineering, and quality control activities. Administer contracts, support procurement efforts, and manage change orders. Track project deliverables, milestones, and reporting requirements. Coordinate document control, design records, and as-built documentation. Support cost estimating, financial reporting, and issue resolution. Ensure successful project execution through proactive planning and stakeholder engagement.

Qualifications & Experience: Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field. 10+ years of experience managing design and construction projects. Experience leading multidisciplinary teams through planning, design, and construction phases. Strong knowledge of project controls, budgeting, scheduling, and risk management.

PE, RA, PMP, CCM, or similar professional certification. Experience delivering hyperscale data centers, mission-critical, or complex industrial facilities. Familiarity with BIM/VDC and digital project delivery tools. Experience within owner's representative, program management, or construction management environments. Experience managing multiple concurrent projects across diverse geographic locations.
