The Effector-Optics (EO) Department is currently seeking a Cryogenics Systems Design Engineer II with design and analysis skills, experience in cryogenics systems, component fabrication, and testing. You will work with multi-discipline teams supporting military programs in the development and production phases of infrared sensor systems. This is an onsite position located in our Tucson, AZ campus.
What You Will Do
Design and analysis of high-pressure gas supply assemblies, Joule-Thompson coolers, Stirling coolers, Dewar design, Ultra High Vacuum (UHV) Hermetic vessels and sealing techniques. Troubleshoot EO Cryogenic systems. Work closely with components suppliers. Prepare technical justification analysis reports Occasional travel to government and other facilities in support of program activities.
Qualifications
You Must Have Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience. Experience in Thermodynamic, Heat Transfer Analysis and Structural Analysis. Experience with Pro/Engineer and/or CREO. Experience with fluid, pneumatic, vacuum, cryogenics systems design, analysis, or fabrication.
Qualifications
We Prefer Cryogenics System Design familiarity. Experience with thermodynamic and heat transfer analysis and structural analysis. Working knowledge of Pro/Engineer, CREO. Mechanical aptitude to provide solutions to a variety of technical problems of moderate scope and complexity.
