This role provides oversight of all licensing activities, ensuring alignment with U.S. nuclear regulatory requirements and corporate objectives. The Licensing Director provides guidance through complex technical, safety, and regulatory challenges; leads strategic engagement with regulatory authorities, customers, and key partners. This position requires exceptional leadership in cross‑functional environments and the ability to influence organizational direction in support of critical program and business outcomes.   Location: On-site in Lynchburg, Virginia.   Your Day to Day as a Director, Licensing:

Provide strategic leadership in developing and executing comprehensive licensing plans for advanced reactor technology within the U.S. commercial regulatory framework, guiding organizational direction across nuclear safety, security, emergency planning, reactor design, code development, financial and environmental law, and safeguards. Oversee and direct the creation of high-quality regulatory deliverables, including technical reports, topical reports, and license application content to ensure alignment with corporate objectives and regulatory expectations. Define and drive regulatory strategy to address major technical and programmatic challenges associated with BWXT AT’s reactor technology development, leading cross functional efforts to resolve complex issues. Serve as the executive owner of the licensing basis for one or more reactor technologies, providing leadership in regulatory defense and customer engagement.
