The Work Lockheed Martin is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to support our Advanced Launchers and Mk 41 Vertical Launching System (VLS) programs in Moorestown, NJ. You’ll join a collaborative Software Engineering team developing and supporting real-time embedded software for mission-critical systems. In this role, you will: Plan, design, develop, integrate, test, debug, and document software. Apply object-oriented programming and software engineering principles to solve complex problems. Develop and implement solutions across the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC). Support software integration, verification, and test activities. Apply software configuration management practices and ensure engineering standards are met. Independently determine technical approaches and develop solutions to challenging software problems. Work closely with cross-functional engineering teams to deliver reliable, high-quality capabilities.

   • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline with applicable coursework and at least 5 years professional experience or Masters degree and 3 years related experience • Proficiency with C++ in Linux environment • Experience with Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) • Experience with Git • Familiarity with Java • Ability to obtain & maintain a U.S. DoD security clearance at the SECRET level Desired Skills
