Job Description
Position Title: Final/Sub Assembly - Fitter Reporting To: Assembly Team Leader Location: Carrickmacross Hours of work: 40 Hours – Mon to Thurs 8:00AM to 5:00PM, Fri 8:00AM to 2:00PM We require experienced personnel who are capable of working in a team based environment manufacturing mobile screening equipment.
Main duties and responsibilities
Assembly line fitting of mobile screening and material processing equipment Using of power and manual tooling to safely and effectively fit components parts of these machines Reading and interpreting of engineering drawings and technical instructions to ensure machines are built correctly. Working to achieve production targets and schedule while maintaining quality standards Ensuring the safe and controlled movement of production parts Working as part of a team to develop continuous improvement Experience and Skills Typically Required Experience in mechanical fitting . Experience of hydraulic systems installation and fitting . Ability to read and understand technical engineering drawings . Experience working in a manufacturing or heavy engineering environment is desirable. Strong teamwork, motivation, and a willingness to adapt to changing production priorities. Focus on quality, productivity, and safe working practices Typical Day-to-Day Activities An Assembly Fitter at Terex MDS would typically: Build and assemble screening equipment, trommels, feeders, and conveyors. Install mechanical and hydraulic components. Check assembled components against engineering specifications. Diagnose and rectify minor assembly issues. Collaborate with Team Leaders, Quality personnel, Engineering, and Production colleagues. Maintain a clean, organised, and safe work area in line with Lean and 5S principles.
