As Maintenance Technician you provide maintenance support to the entire Caterpillar Desford facility. Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: Maintaining equipment and using a computerised maintenance system. Responding to equipment breakdowns and completing repairs to equipment. Troubleshoot and correct malfunctions on industrial/assembly equipment, machinery and building as required. Perform preventative maintenance as per schedules. Order replacement parts and stocks. Adhere to the company's Health & Safety policy and safe working practices. Root Cause Analysis: Strong critical thinking ability to identify underlying problems and implement effective, lasting solutions. Self-Motivation & Initiative: Capable of working independently, taking ownership of tasks, and proactively addressing maintenance needs. Collaborative Mindset: Works effectively as part of a team, contributing to shared goals and maintaining a positive, cooperative work environment. Adaptability & Flexibility: Comfortable with changing priorities and schedules, including availability for out-of-hours work when required. Effective Communication: Able to clearly convey technical information and collaborate with colleagues across departments. Organizational Skills: Manages workload efficiently, maintains accurate records, and prioritizes tasks to meet operational needs. Instructional Comprehension: Reads and follows technical documentation, procedures, and verbal instructions with precision. Experience in using PLC based systems would be an advantage. Relevant experience working in an industrial / manufacturing environment.
