Reporting to the Estimating Manager, the Estimator plays a critical role in securing major heavy industrial projects by transforming complex scopes into winning cost and execution strategies. This position utilizes deep industry expertise to analyze project requirements, identify opportunities and risks, and deliver comprehensive estimates that position the company for success in highly competitive markets. Location & Travel Details: Preference for candidates living in the Denver, CO area or Vancouver, WA region. This is can be a hybrid or remote role. Must be able to travel up to 30% of the time. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Listen to directions and suggestions from supervisors or other employees regarding safe and proper work practices, evaluate that information and implement a plan based on that evaluation for carrying out the duties of this position. Be motivated and work productively. Read and understand department and company policies, procedures, and other documents applicable to assigned tasks that are published on Zavanta. Examine/inspect office conditions and/or procedures and identify problems, inaccuracies, and cost saving measures that arise or that may be encountered. Prepare accurate quantity surveys and estimates for those divisions of the project as assigned Work the hours required to complete tasks assigned by established deadlines. Identify the most efficient path to success. Solicit subcontractor and/or supplier quotations or scheduling input as required for the assignments Participate in plan review and estimate reviews for respective projects Assist in compiling historical cost data for projects Confirm list of subcontractors/suppliers proposing on the project Collaborate with Architects/Engineers drafting requests for clarifications or additional information Attend project meetings and perform
