About this role
Who We Are
We build the intelligence that lets robots sense, reason, and act in the real world—moving beyond the lab and into everyday industrial settings like warehouses and factories. Our technology closes the automation gaps that traditional systems can't solve. We are on a mission to redefine how physical work gets done, and we're looking for curious, bold thinkers to help shape the future of robotics with us.
Overview
We are seeking an experienced and proactive QA Engineer to own product quality across our AI robotics platform. In this role, you will be responsible for conceptualizing and driving the overall testing strategy, building quality into every stage of our development lifecycle, and ensuring our robotic systems meet the highest standards before reaching customers. You will work across hardware and software boundaries, collaborating closely with engineering, product, and support teams in a fast-paced startup environment.
Your Responsibilities
Testing Strategy & Quality Gates Conceptualize, develop, and manage the overall testing strategy and quality gates for the product. Define and enforce release criteria, ensuring that only thoroughly validated builds reach production. Establish and maintain quality metrics and dashboards to provide visibility into product health. QA Ownership Own QA processes across both hardware and software, ensuring quality is built into the development lifecycle from the start. Design and implement test plans, test cases, and test automation for new features and existing functionality. Conduct and oversee functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing of robotic systems. Work closely with developers to reproduce, isolate, and resolve defects efficiently. Systematic Validation & Continuous Improvement Establish systematic validation and regression testing frameworks that scale with the product. Identify gaps in test coverage and drive initiatives to close them. Contribute to CI/CD pipeline improvements by integrating automated testing at appropriate stages. Advocate for quality best practices across the organization and mentor team members on testing methodologies.
Qualifications
Education and Experience Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred) in Computer Science, Engineering, Robotics, or a related technical field. Minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience in QA engineering or software testing, preferably in a product-focused environment. Proven track record of building and owning testing strategies and QA processes. Experience testing systems that involve both hardware and software components is highly desirable.
Skills
Strong proficiency in test automation tools and frameworks (e.g., pytest, Robot Framework, Selenium, or similar). Proficiency in Python programming and scripting for test automation. Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins) and integrating tests into deployment pipelines. Working knowledge of Docker, Linux, and command-line debugging tools. Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with a systematic approach to root cause analysis. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, product, and support teams. Fluent in English; German is a strong plus. Additional Skills / Nice to Have Experience with robotics systems, ROS, or industrial automation. Familiarity with performance testing, load testing, or hardware-in-the-loop testing. Experience in the logistics or manufacturing industry. Knowledge of ISTQB or similar QA certifications.
