Role
Summary To deliver high-quality occupational health services, including pre-employment health screening, DSE assessments, management referrals, associated reports and follow up. Providing expert advice and guidance to ensure the wellbeing of our colleagues and compliance with occupational health policies, clinical regulation and legislation. Champion wellbeing across the organisation, creating health and wellbeing content and resources that are accessible, relevant and effective across our diverse employee groups and equips managers to handle occupational health conversations effectively. A critical role ensuring our colleagues are supported in safety, physical, financial and mental health, from day one and throughout their journey with Maximus.
1. Undertake health consultations for management referrals, conduct DSE assessments and pre-employment health screening. Delivering against key KPI’s to ensure a timely and customer centric Occupational Health service and ensuring colleagues to have access to the equipment they need to mitigate health risk, health and wellbeing related considerations and adjustments are identified and evidence-based advice is provided on colleague’s fitness for work. Undertake health consultations for management referrals, providing timely and evidence-based advice on employees’ fitness for work. Liaise with colleagues, managers, and other stakeholders to recommend reasonable adjustments and support plans to remain in or return to work. Manage follow-up processes, ensuring continuity of care and effective communication with all parties involved. Manage DSE triaged cases to ensure colleagues have access to the equipment they need to mitigate health risks. 2. Manage follow-up processes, ensuring continuity of care and effective communication with all parties involved. Conduct pre-employment health screenings to assess candidates’ fitness for their role, providing relevant and timely reports to hiring managers regarding health and wellbeing related considerations and adjustments required. 3. Ensure all occupational health activity is carried out within clinical governance frameworks and policies and full compliance with occupational health law, regulations, best practice and accreditations. Ensure advice and recommendations align with colleague and organisational needs and clinical audit recommendations are embedded effectively. 4. Take ownership of personal clinical learning and professional development, staying updated on advancements in occupational health practices, regulation, legislation, and technologies. Regularly participate in relevant training, conferences, and professional development activities to maintain and enhance clinical expertise. Reflect on professional practice and seek feedback to continually improve the quality of OH services provided. Maintain professional registration and meet the requirements for continued professional development (CPD) as outlined by the appropriate governing body. 5. Champion a wellbeing culture across the organisation and support with the development of evidence-based content and resource to educate and raise awareness of health and wellbeing services and reduce stigma around mental and physical health.
