Comprehensive Personal Liability Represented Claims Adjuster -Remote

This role is responsible for investigating moderately complex and complex comprehensive personal liability (CPL) claims, including representative moderate and major CPL losses. Responsibilities include analyzing coverage, obtaining recorded statements, evaluating liability and damages, handling demands, issuing payments to appropriate parties, and negotiating settlements. Claims involving requiring additional expertise are referred to for further handling litigation.

Negotiates and settles claims in accordance with business unit best practices. Review policy language and analysis determine coverage. Reviews of medical reports in preparation for claims settlement evaluation. Coordinate the appraisal process for highly complex, disputed claims, ensuring adherence to policy provisions. Determines and explains coverage limits in moderately complex and complex claims involving single or multiple claimants, also determines claim value. Sets initial reserve, updates reserve, documents rationale and claim summary notes. Act as the primary point of contact for policyholder attorneys, leading direct negotiations to resolve disputes efficiently. Draft and respond to attorney correspondence, requests for information, and demands to maintain compliance and mitigate legal exposure. Researches and responds to moderately complex and occasionally complex customer communications, concerns, conflicts or issues. Summarizes documents and enters into claim system notes, documenting a claim file with notes, evaluations and decision-making process.

2 or more years of experience. Adjuster License. Strong negotiating experience and policy interpretation experience. Experience handling third-party bodily injury claims arising from homeowners, renters, landlord, ATV, boat, and golf cart insurance policies. Work Location:   Remote Home-Based Work: This position is a permanent remote home-based role. Your home office does not need to be near an Allstate office, but it does need to be in the United States. This position is not available for California, Alaska, Washington and Hawaii residents. Your manager will work with you along with the centralized licensing team to ensure that you are properly licensed.

Data: You may be eligible for a $1,000 Licensing Sign-on Bonus if you have the applicable active licenses needed for this role. This could include Home Resident Property & Casualty License, Designate Home State (DHS) Florida or Texas License, and/or applicable Appraiser License. Candidates who have previously worked for and are seeking to be rehired at Allstate and its family companies are not eligible for this sign-on bonus.
