About this role
Solution Architect – CarbonEdge™ CCUS Digital · Climate Technology Solutions Translating customer CCUS challenges - across capture, transport, injection and storage - into CarbonEdge solution designs Do you enjoy working with CCUS Digital · Climate Technology Solutions ? Partner with the best Baker Hughes stands as a leading global energy‑technology company, delivering innovative solutions that make energy safer, cleaner, and more efficient across the entire value chain. Operating in more than 120 countries, the company blends deep industrial expertise with advanced engineering and digital technologies to support energy production, transformation, and decarbonization. With over a century of heritage, Baker Hughes partners with customers in oil and gas, industrial sectors, and emerging energy markets to accelerate progress toward a more sustainable energy future Fuel your passion The Solution Architect is the technical lead of the CarbonEdge Digital Pursuit Team. The role owns the translation of customer CCUS challenges - across capture, transport, injection and storage - into CarbonEdge solution designs that are technically credible, deliverable, and commercially compelling. This is a customer-facing, domain-led role. Success is measured by qualified leads converted, and pilots and commercial deployments closed, not by internal deliverables. The person will work directly with operators, project developers, regulators and verification bodies, and will be the single technical point of reference in a pursuit from first customer conversation through proposal and contract. Reports into the Demand Generation and Solution Architecture organization, with a strong working line to CarbonEdge Product Leadership. As Solution Architect – CarbonEdge™ , you will be responsible for: Customer engagement and pursuit leadership Leading technical discoveries with CCS operators and project developers: understand the storage complex, the MMV plan, the regulatory pathway, the existing sensing and data estate, and the operational pain points. Acting as technical lead across the pursuit lifecycle — qualification, workshops, demonstrations, technical clarifications, and executive-level discussions. Running customer workshops that convert an MMV/MRV plan into a digital scope: what is measured, how often, by which sensor, against which regulatory obligation, and what the operator does with the result. Working embedded alongside customer teams during pilot and deployment phases - including extended periods on customer sites and inside customer cloud and IT environments - acting as the trusted technical counterpart to their subsurface, operations and digital organizations. Partnering with Sales, Commercial and Proposals to shape the technical narrative, scope of work and effort estimate behind each bid. Product feedback Feeding structured, evidence-based requirements back to Product Management from live pursuits - including what competitors are being credited for and where we lose capability. Supporting product champions across the regional sales organizations with enablement and technical content. To be successful in this role you will: Have a degree in Geoscience, Petroleum/Reservoir Engineering, or related technical discipline. Have substantial subsurface experience - reservoir characterization, petrophysics, well integrity, injection or storage operations - with a working understanding of how surface operations connect to subsurface behavior. Have had exposure to CCS/CCUS: storage site characterization, injection monitoring, containment and conformance, or MMV plan development. Have working knowledge of digital solutions, with the ability to assess solution adoption feasibility and customer readiness. Have a demonstrated ability to work with customer-facing: technical sales, consulting, pursuit-support, or client-side technical authority. Comfortable presenting to both engineers and
