The Opportunity
As the Head of Market Access, APAC , you will lead the development and execution of regional market access strategies to optimize patient access through funding and reimbursement pathways across Asia-Pacific markets. This role serves as the regional leader for Market Access, Health Technology Assessment (HTA), and Health Policy Strategy, ensuring access considerations are embedded across portfolio planning, launch readiness, and lifecycle management. In close partnership with the Global Value, Access & Outcomes (GVA&O) organization, you will ensure that global value and access strategies, evidence plans, value communications, and market access tools are effectively regionalized and localized to meet the unique reimbursement, HTA, healthcare policy, and stakeholder requirements across APAC markets. You will collaborate extensively with regional and country leaders across Marketing, Medical Affairs, Government Affairs, and Commercial functions to drive integrated access strategies that enhance patient access and support the successful commercialization of the portfolio. The ideal candidate combines deep market access expertise with structured problem-solving, analytical rigor, and strategic thinking.
What You'll Do
Regional Market Access Strategy Develop and execute a comprehensive APAC market access strategy to maximize patient access and reimbursement across priority markets. Serve as the regional market access thought leader, providing strategic guidance on reimbursement, funding, HTA, and healthcare policy trends. Identify opportunities, risks, and emerging market dynamics that may impact access and commercial success. Advise regional and global leadership on access implications for pipeline assets, launch planning, lifecycle management, and portfolio strategy. Ensure market access considerations are integrated into strategic business planning across the region. Funding and Reimbursement Leadership Lead the development of regional funding and reimbursement strategies to support optimal patient access. Partner with country market access teams to develop and execute market-specific reimbursement and funding plans. Assess market access barriers and identify innovative approaches to improve patient access across APAC healthcare systems. Establish regional best practices and frameworks to support reimbursement excellence and successful access outcomes. Support launch readiness and lifecycle planning by ensuring reimbursement requirements are proactively addressed. HTA and Evidence Strategy Lead regional HTA strategy development to support reimbursement and funding decisions. Collaborate with Medical Affairs and Global Value, Access & Outcomes teams to define evidence requirements and value demonstration strategies. Guide the development and adaptation of value propositions, health economic evidence, real-world evidence strategies, and payer communication tools to meet local HTA requirements. Monitor evolving HTA methodologies and evidence expectations across APAC markets and adapt strategies accordingly. Facilitate sharing of HTA and reimbursement best practices across markets to strengthen regional capabilities. Health Policy Leadership and Policy Shaping Monitor and assess healthcare policy developments, reimbursement reforms, funding mechanisms, and payer landscape changes across APAC. Identify opportunities to shape the policy environment and improve patient access through proactive engagement and advocacy initiatives. Partner closely with Government Affairs teams to support
