As the Senior Manager for Global Revenue Accounting (GRA) and Pune Site Lead, you will serve as a vital Finance Partner driving ASC 606 compliance and site operations. In this dual-capacity leadership role, you will act as the primary operational link between Avaya and key external partners, such as Wipro, to navigate daily activities seamlessly.   Maintaining strong, grounded leadership in Pune is critical to team stability, talent retention, and operational continuity. You will manage a large team of 40+ direct and third-party vendor resources, ensuring high accuracy in monthly, quarterly, and annual statutory closures, balance sheet reconciliations, and SOX control execution. Key Responsibilities

Site Leadership & Partner Management: Act as the Site Lead and primary operational partner for external vendor for Pune office, maintaining leadership stability, driving team morale, and minimizing natural attrition.

ASC 606 Revenue Accounting: Lead complex revenue recognition workflows, including contract asset and liability revenue allocations, to establish the company's final top-line revenue figures.

Governance & Financial Closures: Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual statutory books closures; address PwC audit queries; and maintain strict adherence to SOX controls.

Team & Vendor Operations: Manage, mentor, and scale a 40+ person hybrid team comprising internal staff and third-party vendor resources (e.g., Wipro).

Process Transformation & Automation: Identify manual reporting bottlenecks and drive automation initiatives across the GRA offshore organization.

Executive Collaboration: Engage directly with senior leadership to present clear balance sheet reconciliation reviews, risk assessments, and financial explanations.

Qualifications & Experience

Education: Chartered Accountant (CA), CIMA, MBA in Finance from premier institute

Experience: 15–20 years of progressive finance experience with significant expertise in ASC 606 revenue accounting and shared service center setups.

Leadership Track Record: Proven experience leading large teams (40+ members) across internal and external vendor models, with a demonstrated ability to stabilize teams and reduce turnover.

Technical Skills: Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency and familiarity with enterprise ERP revenue management modules.

Mindset: Strong time management under tight close-calendar conditions, logical problem-solving, and a "finisher" orientation.

Work Schedule & Benefits

Schedule: This is a full-time position with hybrid arrangement requiring at least 3 days in office per week at Pune office with standard shift hours from 2:00 PM to 11:00 PM IST . Quarter-end and year-end closes may require extra effort or weekend work to honor the Close Calendar. No travel required.
