The Corporate Information Services Department is seeking a dynamic and talented Associate System Administrator - Workday. The Associate System Administrator position, as part of the Workday ERP team, will be responsible for supporting the management, configuration, administration and monitoring of Workday security and compliance activities. This entry-level role will help to ensure data integrity, compliance and security within the Workday ecosystem while supporting function teams and business users. Additionally, this role assists in maintaining user access, role-based permissions and security configurations while helping safeguard sensitive HR, payroll and financial data. Key Responsibilities include: Assists in configuring and maintaining Workday security roles, permissions, and custom security groups (e.g., user-based and role-based). Helps troubleshoot and resolve user-related access and security issues. Processes security change requests and executes security-related test plans. Assists in creating and maintaining documentation for security configurations, policies, and procedures. Supports regular audits of user access and security configurations to ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations. Helps maintain audit logs and provides support for internal and external audits. Assists in the analysis, planning and testing of upcoming feature enhancements as part of the Workday release cycle.
Qualifications
Position Requirements: Candidate should have a foundational understanding of information systems, data security, and access management principles. Candidate should demonstrate strong analytical and organizations kills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage sensitive information with discretion. Effective communication and collaboration skills are important for working with cross-functional teams including HR, IT, and compliance. Experience / Skills Associate’s Degree (Bachelor’s degree preferred) in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity or other related field preferred Basic understanding of security principles and compliance frameworks such as role-based access control (RBAC) and least privilege access models Familiarity with Workday, or other enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is a plus but not required Familiarity with audit and compliance processes, such as running reports and assisting with access issue resolution Familiarity documenting processes or creating Change Control documentation is a plus Awareness of data privacy, information security, and compliance principles Basic data analysis skills in Excel (filters, pivot tables, reporting) Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment Eagerness to learn and grow within Workday security and compliance domains Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a dynamic environment Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with multiple stakeholders Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills Job Requirements Assists in administering Workday security roles, groups, and access permissions under supervision Supports the maintenance and enforcement of security policies and compliance requirements within the Workday
